Introduction
After completing my participation in WPCredits, I can say that this experience became much more than a university project. Throughout this journey, I had the opportunity to learn how an open-source community works and contribute, even in a small way, to a project used by millions of people around the world.
My Experience
One of the things I enjoyed the most was discovering that there are many different ways to contribute to WordPress. In my case, I joined the WP Polyglots team, where I contributed to the Astra – Spanish (Costa Rica) translation project.
During the project, I not only learned how to use tools like GlotPress, but I also gained a better understanding of teamwork and communication within an international community.
Each stage of the project helped me learn something new and become more confident as a contributor.
What I Take Away from This Experience
Besides improving my translation skills, this experience introduced me to the open-source community and showed me how important volunteers are in maintaining projects like WordPress.
I also realized that even small contributions can make a meaningful difference when many people work toward the same goal.

Reflection
Looking back on this experience, I feel proud of everything I accomplished and learned throughout the project. Participating in WPCredits gave me the opportunity to develop new skills while becoming part of a community that works every day to improve WordPress.
I hope to continue learning and, if I have the opportunity, contribute to future WordPress community projects.
